Our second advent calendar is all about the things you think of when someone mentions Shetland. There are so many things that come to mind but the calendar?? will have 3 distinct themes of 8 days. Each will have 6 solid hand dyed or natural colours & 1 varigated skein that encompasses all of the colours, each 8th day will be a gift day that fits with the theme, some products?? from us & some from local makers & producers that we love.

It will be in our beautiful hand dyed & natural 100% native Shetland Wool, in DK weight wool.

In total there will be 21 days of wool, each dyed day will be 25g & each natural day will be 50g of DK giving?? you a total of 200g in each them, 600g in total.

There are so many designs on ravelry?? that?? these quantities?? will work with, from both Shetland designers & further?? afield.??

Although?? the themes are stand alone, you will be able to mix & match the colours into different projects if you wish.

There will be 3 gift days

This year I have sourced reusable burlap bags that you can use year after year.

All of our wools are hand dyed here on the croft. we use wool from our homebred native Shetland sheep & we buy some Shetland fleeces from other small crofts that we know & love around Shetland.??

Each day will be a beautiful hand dyed or natural skein, in a shade that will blend with the other days.??

Each day will be individually packaged, ready for you to display or hang in December & will be packed into one of our reusable?? tote bags.

We are taking preorders for the calendar to ensure that we make enough, preorders will close at the begining of July, this will allow us time to sort, dye & package everything to enable collection at Shetland Wool Week for anyone visiting.

Postage -?? we are currently?? unable?? to post to the EU – however I am happy to post to a friend or relative for them to hold or deliver to you. Postage cost is Not?? included in the price, there are big variations in costs to various countries & we are also offering collection in Wool Week as an option so when you checkout it will be added accordingly. If your country isn’t on the list, let me know & we will try to sort it out.
