Our Shetland Sheep

Our flock is made up of around 50 Shetland sheep, almost all of whom were born and raised right here on the croft.

They come in a wonderful range of natural colours - and we never breed for a particular shade, so every spring brings the excitement of discovering what colours the new lambs will be.

  • Meet Betty

    Shetland × Valais Blacknose
Betty is a very sweet girl who loves nothing more than a good head scratch and a chat with visitors. She’s always happy to stop and say hello!

  • Meet Psycho

    10 years old · Hebridean

Psycho is our one remaining Hebridean sheep. She was supposed to leave the croft four years ago, but despite our best efforts, she’s still here — still having lambs whenever she gets the opportunity and generally causing chaos!

  • Meet Albert

2 years old · Pure Shetland

Albert was a very gentle bottle lamb, but he’s become a little cranky since entering his teenage phase! He loves having his head scratched, although his preferred way of saying thank you is by butting your hand afterwards. 🐑
